U.S. GLOBEC Georges Bank is a
research program organized by oceanographers and fisheries scientists to
address the question of how global climate change may affect the
abundance and production of animals in the sea. U.S. GLOBEC research
is supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation-Division of Ocean
Sciences, and the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration-Office of Global Programs and National Marine Fisheries
Service, and is a component of the U.S. Global Change Research Program.
